Briara Trading Company was founded in 1987. We were an outgrowth of House of Bargains, an off price childrens wear retailer.  This beginning enabled us to understand the needs of the off price retailer and helped to enable us to grow into one of the largest off price jobbers in the United Sates.  We originally sourced our product domestically but in 2002 we began to import stock lots from overseas.  Today we import from at least 16 different countries.  We pivoted from being an off price domestic childrens wear resource to an importer of mens , womens and childrens goods for the off price market. The constant in our development has been our commitment to helping our retail partners grow profitably.
